Spring is so beautiful this year. Several years ago my husband & I went to visit several people that we know in Missouri. One of the families was my brother & his wife and the other was my dearest friend from childhood and her husband. This friend lives on a lovely peice of property of 25 acres and her husband grows all kinds of beautiful flowers and veggies. His bearded Iris are gorgeous and I asked for some of his stock. We brought them to Texas and planted them and we have waited for them not to patiently to bloom. Well, they are blooming and they are all pale lavender. Some of them have 9 & 10 blooms on them and they are so lovely. Each one reminds me of the Thanksgiving we spent with them in Missouri.
My daughter said she has some Iris that bloomed white last year and lavender this year, now how can that happen? Happy Spring!
