Painting For Fun

Painting is my therapy. I have painted on rocks, glass, fabric, canvas, wood, people's faces & pregnant belly's. Whatever material I am using is my fav for the moment. These days I am painting cigar boxes. (Remember when we had these in school?) What fun to take a little wooden box and create a beautiful treasure. Some people decopage their boxes, some paper their boxes, I paint mine and then paint a picture on the top.

Sometimes I use acrylic and sometimes oils, sometimes I paint on the box and then glue canvas to the top to paint the picture(I have used paper such as Scrapebooking paper to paint the picture on).
These make great gifts and are very loved by the people who are fortunate enough to receive one. One gift I gave, the lady calls ever week and thanks me for her little shack that I painted on a box. It was to hold her Santa's on Magnolia leaves that someone else had painted for her. What joy to give a gift that is appreciated.+
